Why engineering?: I'm studying to become an engineer because developing useful devices, buildings, and machines is one of the most exciting ways for me to benefit society. The engineering profession requires you to be a life-long learner, as techniques and applications are constantly evolving. This consistent set of new challenges, the potential to improve the quality of life on Earth (or elsewhere), and the ability to be on the forefront of technology are what make engineering so rewarding.
