Get ready for this year's Engineers Week.
National Engineers Week, better known as E-Week, is celebrated at UC Irvine to promote interaction and communication amongst engineering students, faculty, alumni and industry. Furthermore, the celebration is intended to generate public awareness and appreciation for the engineering profession. As the formal title is "National Engineers Week" suggests, E-Week is not only UC Irvine event, but an event that over 100 professional societies, corporations, and agencies participate in. This year's E-Week theme is "Ideas in Motion: Changing the Potential into the Kinetic." There is unlimited potential in the world around us, but unless those ideas are used, nothing would come of it. As engineering students, we are given the tools, knowledge, and experience to put our ideas and schemes, our designs and our theories into motion. It is through this knowledge and experience that we are able to push forward into the world, to change the potential into the kinetic. With this in mind, we hope E-Week will give students better knowledge and skills to achieve their ambitions and to face the challenges they will encounter upon entering the work force.Click here to visit the National E-Week website.
